Ski 2011 deals available!

This chalethotel is in Courchevel 1850.

- Superb location in 1850 resort centre, just two minutes’ walk (200m) from La Croisette
- Skiing virtually to and from the doorstep
- ‘Loze’ piste just along the street, leading to Plantrey chairlift
- Comfortable bedrooms, all with private en suite bath or shower and wc, most with balcony
- Attractive restaurant
- Cosy lounge area and bar with WiFi

La Croisette is the lively epicentre of 1850 next to the World Cup slalom stadium, where all the main ski-lifts start, the ski-school meets, and skiers throng to the après ski bars.

The recognised absolute best place to stay, is not right in the midst of this hurly-burly, but a convenient 2-minute walk away at the Coq de Bruyère!

From here, you have a choice of bars, restaurants and everything that 1850 has to offer conveniently close at hand, (including the ski-hire shop right next door). On top of that, there is supremely easy access to the slopes, with the Loze piste literally just metres away.

Ski Area Access

Just across the street from the hotel, barely 30m walk away, is the edge of the ‘Loze’ piste, an easy green run suitable for all skiers, which leads you quickly to the Plantrey chairlift, or on to Courchevel 1550, or connecting to the ‘Brigues’ red run all the way down to Le Praz 1300 if you wish.

Alternatively, you can walk approximately two minutes down to La Croisette, and take your pick of the choice of main high-speed lifts from here.

At the end of your ski day, you can ski back to the same point you started from on the ‘Loze’ piste, and simply cross the street to the hotel and your welcoming afternoon tea.

If you have been skiing down in Le Praz, you can also take the gondola from 1300, which unloads you just approximately one minute’s walk along the piste from the Coq de Bruyère.

Comfortable Hotel Facilities

The open-plan lounge and bar area with its open fireplace, is the ideal place to enjoy a pre- or post-dinner drink in the evenings. There is also a small separate DVD lounge or ‘snug’, providing additional space to relax.

The attractive dining-room opens off the bar, and provides the ideal setting for our skiers’ buffet breakfast and ‘Culinary Choice’ evening meals.

All the bedrooms have private en suite facilities, with a choice of showers or baths and wc, and many also have a balcony. The third bed in the triple rooms is suitable only for a child under 13 years.

For six days of the week the chalet staff prepare all your meals. On their one day off per week, you will still be offered a full buffet breakfast but that evening you can eat out in one of the local restaurants.

Breakfast:
A full buffet breakfast is served every day.

Afternoon Tea:
The traditional ‘welcome home’ after a day on the slopes will be laid out for you, ready for your return, every day (except on the staff’s day off). A good cup of tea or coffee is the perfect accompaniment to a delicious slice of freshly home-baked cake and keeps hungry skiers happy until dinner is ready.

Evening Meal:
A special feature of this Chalet Hotel is to offer a more extensive culinary experience compared with a standard chalet. With the greater facilities of a hotel, the chefs are able to offer choices of menu at dinner, generally including lighter as well as more hearty options, and always including a vegetarian choice for each course. Guests will be asked to choose their evening meals at breakfast for that evening from a varied daily selection.

The adult-only Chalet Hotel dinners (6 nights) offer 5 courses, starting with canapés and an aperitif, followed by an appetiser, main course and dessert, and a cheeseboard to round off your meal in style. All this is then followed by coffee with chocolates to complete your evening’s repast!

Wine is unlimited during the meal service and freshly chilled water is also of course always available.

Most special dietary requirements can be catered for, but for certain requests (for e.g. vegan, gluten free diets, low fat/cholesterol meals) there will be an additional charge. Vegetarian meals can always be served, at no extra charge, although we do need 14 days notice. You must notify us in writing at the time of booking of any dietary requirements so that the catering can be planned accordingly.

Children and High Tea:
Children (under 13 years) are required to eat separately from the adults, as their main evening meal, at the Children's High Tea provided at 5.30pm. This is tailored more towards children’s normal tastes than the adult-only dinner menu, and includes plentiful soft drinks. Please note that Children under 13 are not permitted to join the adult dinner unless you have booked this Chalet Hotel for your exclusive use, when the choice of dining separately or together is entirely up to you - please let us know at the time of booking. For children receiving a child discount, there is a £39 supplement to upgrade from child meals to the adult menu.

Specific dietary requirements (for eg gluten-free or lactose intolerance) – a £35 pp supplement will applied to your booking. If the chalet hosts are only informed in resort a £60 pp supplement will be charged.
