Courchevel has a number of villages Courchevel Le Praz, Courchevel 1650 and Courchevel 1850. Courchevel 1850 is a high altitude resort and therefore has a great chance of having early season snow. Courchevel also offers a fantastic variety of skiing terrain, making sure that all levels of skiers will find something for them. For those new to Christmas skiing, the Verdons and Bellecote pistes are perfect, two very long pistes with low gradients making them two of the very best nursery pistes in world, let alone Europe. They are also both accessed by their own Gondolas that start right in the centre of the resort and the ski school meeting point is opposite. This makes learning to ski or snowboard as convenient as possible. For those of you looking for more thrills from your Christmas Ski Holidays, try the (in)famous Grand Couloir, a jaw-dropping descent from the top of the Saulire peak, surrounded by rocks. Not for the faint hearted, but if you are a good skier, this is one of the “must do’s” that the resort offers.

The chalet sleeps 6, so it’s the perfect size for a family ski holiday at Christmas. There is one master bedroom that is fully en suite (for the parents!) and two other twins (for the kids) that share a bathroom.
